Gradpool is the home of the Gradmatcher, Ireland's first and only online careers fair for students and graduates. In approximately 2 minutes, users can match themselves to their ideal graduate programme or employer based on characteristics that are important to them. 

Using the Gradmatcher tool to figure out who you want to work for or what area you want to work in creates huge efficiencies for the user in their job search. For starters students no longer have to:

o   Spend hours online comparing and contrasting prospective employers

o   Take days out of work/study and incur the expenses involved in attending various careers fairs

o   Apply en masse to various companies because you feel that’s what you should be doing in final year, instead apply in order of those most suited to you.

Andy McGreal

Andrew graduated from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design, and Technology with a degree in Business & Entrepreneurship in 2007. While in college he spent his time seeing other parts of the world including volunteering in development projects in Tanzania. In 2009 he went on to receive an MBS from UCD’s Michael Smurfit School of Business.

His advice for graduates: "Follow your passion, not the crowd".

Dave Egan

Dave graduated from DCU with a degree in Business Studies in 2007. Upon graduation he joined an internationally acclaimed retailer based in Ireland and spent 18 months with them in a senior management role. He then spent a year travelling the world before joining the Gradpool team.

Dave enjoys playing and watching all sports (except Cricket!), meeting new people and spending the odd afternoon in the company of a fresh loaf of McCambridge’s brown bread.

His advice for graduates: “Be yourself and let your personality come across at interview. Preparation is important sure but employers are looking for more than just you answering their questions well. They are looking to see if you’re the right fit for their company".
