Go backGradpool.ie is the home of the Gradmatcher, Ireland's first and only online careers fair for students and graduates. In approximately 2 minutes, users can match themselves to their ideal graduate programme or employer based on characteristics that are important to them.
Using the Gradmatcher tool to figure out who you want to work for or what area you want to work in creates huge efficiencies for the user in their job search. For starters students no longer have to:
o Spend hours online comparing and contrasting prospective employers
o Take days out of work/study and incur the expenses involved in attending various careers fairs
o Apply en masse to various companies because you feel that’s what you should be doing in final year, instead apply in order of those most suited to you.
Our Story.....
The
idea to develop the Gradmatcher tool came to the team In August of 2010.
We wanted to make the process of deciding who you wanted to work for as an
intern or as a graduate much easier. Providing a platform where our student and
graduate users could easily compare prospective employers across a variety of
criteria, quickly, was the challenge. The team at the time consisted of Dave
and Andy, both business graduates, and we, along with our technical partners
began the process of building the Gradmatcher tool.
Fast forward a year and we have what we think is a beautiful
working product, live on the World Wide Web and have over 30 of Ireland’s
biggest graduate recruiters registered as clients, with hopefully many more to
follow.

Andrew graduated from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design, and Technology with a degree in Business & Entrepreneurship in 2007. While in college he spent his time seeing other parts of the world including volunteering in development projects in Tanzania. In 2009 he went on to receive an MBS from UCD’s Michael Smurfit School of Business.
