Useful Resources

There are many websites and resources that graduates can use to help them make better and more informed decisions. We have tried really hard to find you the best graduate resources on offer.

Online Practise Tests

Most, if not all successful graduates practise tests (for jobs) before sitting the real thing.

Personality Onlinewww.personalityonline.com

Personality online provides personality tests as well as a number of more light hearted tests for graduates. You have to register in order to take any of the tests available on this site.

Assessment Daywww.assessmentday.co.uk

Assessment Day is a great online resource offering practice aptitude tests for graduates wishing to improve their aptitude test performance.

Interview Practise

SEEKseek.com.au/campus

The Virtual Interviewer by SEEK offers email practice at answering interview questions. While you should definitely practise face-to-face mock interviews, this is a handy tool. You can find it under the 'Resource Centre' section of SEEK Campus.

Boston Consulting Groupwww.bcg.com/careers/interview_prep.html

The Boston Consulting Group is one of a number of consulting firms which provide an opportunity to get first hand experience on the types of questions asked in a Case Study Interview. In particular, it familiarises the reader with the kind of analysis expected. Feedback is provided on the recommendations made in the sample interview.

Miscellaneous

Twittertwitter.com

Despite the popularity and growth rate of Twitter many young people in Ireland have not yet grasped its concept. If you're one of these people, do reconsider as Twitter is creating a new form of communication that brings with it a bunch of exciting opportunities.

For graduates Twitter is a great place to find advice and guidance from seasoned professionals, you can also find job alerts relating to fields of work you are interested in. Most beneficial however the fact is you can follow employees from the companies that you would like to work in. Get to know them , you may even find a foot in the door.
